Tutu Fellows at G20 in Germany

Several Tutu Fellows were invited in their various capacities as part of an effort to showcase another face of Africa, that of African entrepreneurs.  The session they attended comes ahead of the leaders summit of the G20 on 7 July.   Many countries in Africa already have strong political and economic partnerships with the G20.  Input ahead of the July meeting was sought on new options for boosting sustainable economic growth, investment and stability in Africa.

Dr Amy Jadesimi presenting at the G20With economic development and population growth in Africa already impacting Europe, Germany, which holds the G20 Presidency, prioritised ways in which political and economic stability can be strengthened.  German President Angela Merkel is seeking ways to create new incentives for more private investment, sustainable investment in public infrastructure and economic participation through employment.

The Fellows, who have expertise in these areas, contributed in panels and as speakers.  Entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for job creation, participation in the economy and for positive change.
