The African Leadership Institute has sought to attract young leaders from across Africa to ensure the network of Fellows is better able to provide support for each other.  While not every country is represented yet, the impact and geographic spread is clear.

How to use this page

If you click on the window icon to the left of the the title in the map below, it will list alphabetically all of the countries represented by a Tutu Fellow or Fellows. If you click on the country in the alphabetical list, it will give you the name of the Fellow or Fellows from that country.  The map does zoom, so you can move in more closely on a region or country should you wish.

Alternately, click on the icon on the country of your choice directly on the map and will give you the number and names of the Fellows from that country.

The African Leadership Institute (AFLI) focuses on building the capacity and capability of visionary and strategic leadership across the continent. Developing exceptional leaders representing all spheres of society, the Institute’s flagship programme is the prestigious Archbishop Tutu Leadership Fellowship. Offering a multifaceted learning experience and run in partnership with Oxford University, it is awarded annually to 20-25 carefully chosen candidates, nominated from across Africa.
