One of the Project Pakati's Youth-led and Youth Serving Organisation Portal ChangeLeads has made the prestigious 100 Most Influential Young Africans List for 2019, which is compiled annually by African Youth Awards. The ChangeLead is Viveksing Urjoon. This recognition of his work is made for it's impact on lives across the continent. The list - which is now in it's fourth year - is comprised of people from 32 countries and celebrates the work of young Africans passionate about changing the narrative of their continent.

The portal comprises a group set up by AFLI in its online collaboration platform to provide guidance on helping to set up a directory for youth-led and youth serving organisations that are helping people across the continent. The directory can be seen on the website Youthforyouth.africa

Vivek is the founder of Braille In Paradise, originally from Mauritius. He is also a Relationship Manager in global business at Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd. Vivek has had a successful banking career, starting his professional journey at Barclays Bank PLC before moving to Standard Chartered Bank in Mauritius where he was Principal Associate in the Financial Institutions unit and then promoted to Assistant Director of the Offshore Booking Dept.

Vivek is also a globally recognized youth activist who promotes gender equality, rights of youth living with disabilities, and quality and inclusive education. For almost twenty-two years now, he has been actively involved in many community development projects and has travelled extensively in Africa and Asia, which he says has broadened his insight into solutions that have been adopted there. He is at the forefront of two NGO's, the first being the aforementioned Braille in Paradise and the other being Zenfants Bondier, in which he contributes to their good governance as a board member.

Project Pakati ChangeLeads are dedicated influencers who are engaged in developing and co-creating solutions with other young leaders from across the continent.

Note - when this article was written, the directory was on the Pakati subsite. This directory was migrated in July 2021 to a standalone site of its own at YouthForYouth.Africa
