AFLI is pleased to announce the appointment of Nomthetho Mothejoa effective 1 April 2021, as Programme and Alumni Manager. Nomthi brings to AFLI a unique combination of skills.
She is a Leadership Coach with training in Ontological Coaching and runs a practice in Johannesburg on a part-time basis. Her passion is driving the self-actualisation of leaders and supporting them to make the shifts they desire towards their truest, highest selves.

Most recently she worked as a Value Creation specialist at Ethos Private Equity, supporting portfolio executives on their value creation agenda. This work covered topics from commercial due diligence, strategy, operational excellence, and Board effectiveness.

Nomthi has also worked as a Management Consultant at McKinsey on their Leadership Programme. Here she most enjoyed harnessing the skillset of structuring and breaking down complex problems and collaborating with clients on potential solutions. It was while she was on this Programme that she heard the words “What does it matter to Africa that I lived?” – this question has stayed with her since, while she gradually creates what she wants the answer to be.

Her career started at the South African Revenue Service where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and thereafter worked in the Corporate Finance division at Deloitte.
Outside of work she is an adventurous spirit and a homebody all in one, enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and occasionally scuba diving. She spends the typical weekend either lost in nature or relaxing at home with her husband and a good book in hand.
