Professional History: With over 9 years of experience in supply chain management, business development, and social entrepreneurship, Ahmed is the Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of Brimore, the largest African social commerce and distribution platform. Ahmed leads Brimore's strategy, fundraising, and digital product roadmap, enabling emerging brand owners to access a network of over 60,000 individual sellers who market and sell their products using social media. Ahmed has helped Brimore grow more than 350 times in three years, transforming the traditional supply chain in Egypt to be more consumercentric and emerging-brand-friendly. Ahmed is passionate about empowering women, especially in rural areas, to start and scale their own commerce businesses without leaving their homes. Ahmed also has a background in education and youth development, having founded and worked with several NGOs and delivered specialized training and workshops for school students. He was selected as a Global Shaper in the Alexandria Hub by WEF from 2017-2022; has led a partnership with UNDP for an economic empowerment project, and was chosen as one of 50 to attend the WEF forum in Durban South Africa 2017. He was cofounder of the Step Up Youth Initiative in Alexandria from 2010-2012 and President for the last two years, where he led the implementation of 13 different projects serving 3,000 people.
