Professional History: Bame Pule is the Founder and CEO of Africa Lighthouse Capital, a private equity firm that invests in and nurtures businesses into African champions. Africa Lighthouse not only provides financial capital but also actively partners with management teams of investee companies to improve their operations and strategy, resulting in considerable increases in value for all stakeholders. The firm has a particular focus on helping investee companies adopt global best practices and expand into multiple key African markets. Prior to founding Africa Lighthouse Capital, Mr. Pule spent six years working at Actis Capital, the largest emerging markets-focused alternative investment firm. While at Actis, Mr. Pule was based in Johannesburg but worked extensively throughout Africa. He has also worked for Shoreview Capital, Goldman Sachs’ New York office, Credit Suisse, and Citigroup. He has bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from Pomona College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
