Professional History: Martin is a serial entrepreneur and the co-founder of EnAdIn, short for Endowment Advisor Innovator Ltd., a Kenya-based start-up offering services and advice in finance, education, and technology. He has also helped to start the Utawala Applied Research Institute - a legacy organization resulting from a 2013-2014 Ford Foundation grant to Strathmore University in support of devolution efforts in Kenya; and, Nairobi Capital Inc. – an investor-backed financial services and real estate firm based in the U.S. with operations in Kenya.
He started an MIT-based initiative facilitating MIT student-led entrepreneurship efforts globally and which has continued since 2000. Martin is also a Trustee of the Alliance High School Endowment Fund; an Advisor to the African Management Initiative; an adjunct lecturer at Strathmore Law School; and a member of the East African chapter of Africa 2.0, which is focused on entrepreneurship.
Previously Martin spent over a decade working in the US and Kenya, focused on technology, research, and financial services.
