Professional History: Samuel is the founder and CEO of KISUA.com, a new digital platform offering exclusive contemporary African fashion online to global consumers. Its innovative e-commerce site sells beautiful, limited-run pieces alongside an online magazine brimming with original stories about African style, music, art, and culture. Prior to founding KISUA, Samuel Mensah was Africa Director for Intel Capital (the investment arm of Intel, the computer chip maker), making investments in innovative African technology companies and start-ups.
An advocate for the adoption of technology to address challenges facing the African continent and stimulate economic growth, he has worked with the African Union, governments, telecommunications, and financial institutions to increase access to technology on the continent. He has advised African governments on e-Government, e-Education, Digital Inclusion Policy, and Entrepreneurship. He has also worked at an investment bank, Deutsche Bank, and tech consulting firm Gresham Financial Systems.
Academic and professional credentials: MA in Economics and Management from Oxford University.
