Professional History: Elijah is an Economist by training and has an MBA with over a decade of experience in commercial, corporate, retail, and mortgage banking. He has structured construction finance deals worth over US$150m(NGN30bn) and over US$100m(NGN20bn) in retail, commercial, and investment mortgages.

Before now, He was the Group Head in charge of Real Estate Transaction in ASO Savings & Loans Plc; Nigeria’s largest originator of mortgage assets with the additional responsibility of overseeing the company business concerns within the Federal Capital Territory, North and the Southern Region of Nigeria. Prior to joining ASO, he worked with Equitorial Trust Bank (Now Sterling Bank), Bond Bank (Now Skye Bank), and Platinum Bank (Now keystone Bank).

An Archbishop Desmond Tutu Fellow of the African Leadership Institute, He is also a Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB) and a Fellow of the Institute of Treasury and Financial Administration (FITFA), a new leader with the Crans Montana Forum.

Elijah has undergone lots of leadership and management courses at Harvard, Wharton, Oxford (SBS), and INSEAD business schools. Elijah speaks at conferences and seminars nationally and internationally. Elijah has won numerous awards for his contribution to youth empowerment, education, and community development.
