Professional History: Frances is the Sustainability Manager at Langer Heinrich Mine. She worked for six years as a Marine Biologist and 12 years within the Mining Industry.
She has 18 years’ experience in Environmental Management and over 15 years’ experience in the field OHSE & Risk Management. Her expertise in the aforementioned fields range from conducting EIA's, Risk Assessments, Auditing, developing and implementing Management Plans (Air quality, Biodiversity and Rehabilitation, Dust Management, Waste Management etc.), Systems development, implementation and improvements.
Frances managed multi-disciplinary technical teams ranging from; Environmental Management, Occupational Health, Safety, Socio-Economics, Product Stewardship, Community Relations, Legal Advice, Insurance, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Mine Closure and Rehabilitation.
She has managed and successfully delivered a number of Business Improvement Projects ranging from cash generation project (US$ 30 million in less than six months, Corporate Social Investment Projects (CSI).
She has also participated in company Union negation teams and has experience in Pension Fund Management.
Academic and professional credentials: Marine Biologist B.Sc. from the University of Namibia (UNAM)
Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Fisheries and Fisheries Management from the University of Bergen, Norway.
