Professional History: Salma is the Managing Director of Abuja Leasing Company. From 2005, she was the Head Corporate Services and Communications for ASO Savings and Loans. She is an experienced professional with diverse experience in operational, tactical, and strategic human resources management.

Her achievements include a transformation project of ASO Savings and Loans Internal Systems that entailed the restructuring of the bank’s HRM framework, systems, and processes. Her experience covers Global Strategy Implementation, Business Process Improvement, Job Evaluation, Performance Management System, Compensation and Benefits Management Designs, Executive Selection, Organizational Restructuring, Training Needs Analysis, Policies and Procedures Development, Staff Audit, and Due Diligence.

Salma has a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Bedfordshire, UK, and an Accounting degree from Bayero University Kano. She has participated in professional and leadership courses at INSEAD, Lagos Business School, London Business School, Wharton Business School.

Salma is fluent in English, Hausa and Yoruba. Salma is also an African Leadership Institute fellow (Tutu Fellow).
