Professional History: Dr Stellah Wairimu Bosire is the director and founder of SWB Consulting. She is also the Executive Director of the Africa Center for Health Systems and Gender Justice. She is an award-winning expert in working with not-for-profit organisations, in particular those in the fields of sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, adolescent and youth health, and rights of sexual and gender minority persons. She is a Board Member of Civicus Alliance; a Global Advisory Board Member of Racism and Global Health, and previously was Co-Executive Director, UHAI EASHRI. In May 2024, she was appointed as Interim Chairperson of Amnesty International Kenya after having served as Vice Chair at the organisation since 2023.

She has served as the CEO of the Kenya Medical Association; Vice Chair of the HIV/AIDS Tribunal of Kenya; and as Co-Executive Director of East Africa Sexual Health and Rights initiative.

Stellah was named one of the 40 Under 40 most influential women in Kenya in 2017; is a 2019 Face of Science Awardee Kenya; a 2019 Accountability International Awardee; and a 2020 Top 100 most influential young people in Kenya. She is also a Commonwealth Point of light awardee, an honour given by the Queen of England. This latter award was in recognition of her work in gender and human rights. Stellah is a seasoned writer and she has been published in national and International media.
