Professional History: Hemisha leads the Subsidiary Banking business for J.P Morgan in Sub-Saharan Africa, serving the firm’s global multinational corporates that operate in region. She is responsible for managing the team and the business to holistically serve large and mid-cap clients across Cash & Liquidity Management, Trade, Lending and FX.
Her previous roles included launching J.P. Morgan’s Commercial Banking business in South Africa, overseeing the Commercial Banking business in Saudi Arabia and working with local corporate clients, government and state-owned enterprises and financial institutions across Sub-Saharan Africa. She has been in banking for over 17 years, working in South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria.
Hemisha holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Actuarial Science/Quantitative Finance with Honours from the University of Cape Town and has completed all three CFA exams.
