Job Title: Senior Specialist: Dignity Protection

Professional History: Nzwaki Adonisi is the Senior Specialist for Dignity Protection at Anglo American Platinum, where where she drives strategic interventions to prevent and respond to gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) across operations and communities. In this role, she integrates gender-transformative approaches, fosters cross-sector partnerships, and embeds transdisciplinary and systemic responses to forge sustainable pathways to a safe, inclusive and just working environment and community for all.
Her career has seen her act as a facilitator, strategist, and chartered accountant with more than 14 years of experience at the intersection of impact, systems change, and sustainable finance across Africa. Her work is rooted in a commitment to being in service of equity, justice, authentic collaboration, and community-led transformation that drives sustainable and inclusive futures — where unheard and underserved voices are centered.
Nzwaki is a board member of several mission-driven organizations such as the Female Academic Leaders Fellowship (FALF), where she contributes to advancing gender and racial equity in academia by dismantling structural barriers to inclusive knowledge production. In 2020, Nzwaki co-founded Ima Nathi, a non-profit designed to democratize access to funding, technical support, and strategic networks for women-led SMEs in South Africa.
She has led and designed pan-African projects across diverse sectors and themes such as sustainable and inclusive finance; gender equity; food security; gender-based violence prevention; climate justice; dismantling structural racism; youth social entrepreneurship; place-based innovation; and impact investing. Her clients and partners have included Tshiamo Impact Partners, Circle Generation, The School of International Futures, Rockefeller Foundation, United Nations FAO, World Economic Forum, Médecins Sans Frontières, Allan and Gill Gray Philanthropy, GIZ, Institute for Security Studies, Ignite Foundation, Stellenbosch University (Public Squares) and the Open Society Foundation. In addition to leading her own consulting practice, Nzwaki’s career has included roles at Deloitte, Transaction Capital, Allan Gray, Reos Partners and Momentus Global.
