Vanessa led a team responsible for short-term planning, mine designs, geology, survey, laboratory, and geotechnical services. Her career spans major mining companies such as BHP Billiton, Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore, and South32, working across commodities such as coal, manganese, and iron ore.

Her extensive technical and managerial expertise, coupled with her commitment to personal and professional growth, has established her as a visionary leader and mentor in the mining industry.
