Email Confirmation Requirement

Mailbox and distributor email spam rules have become far stricter since the African Leadership Institute first created it's subscribe list.  Subscribers who joined the list but did not confirm their email address are now being flagged. To meet these new rules to meet compliance, AFLI is cleaning its mailing list.  This may mean that your email address may be removed and should you wish to keep receiving mail from AFLI, that you will need to resubscribe below and confirm your email address. 2007 Fellow Tracey Webster has been selected to sit on the investment committee for Grand Challenges Canada, where she will be driving their investment of 100 million CAD into Africa, particularly on health innovations.  Tracey is the CEO of The Enterpriseroom, a specialist consultancy that helps companies with sustainability, their supply chains, economic inclusion and community outreach. Grand Challenges Canada is funded by the Canadian government, and in turn, funds innovators in low- and middle-income countries and in Canada itself.

Tracey said “I’m very excited be part of a team that will influence where the money should be invested as well as structuring the investments. “

Grand Challenges Canada is an innovation platform that seeds and transitions to scale scientific, social and business innovation to drive sustainable impact at scale. Tracey’s advice, experience and mentorship will provide invaluable guidance to Grand Challenges Canada as part of its Investment Committee. She will serve for an initial term of three years until December 31, 2022, with the option to renew for a second term.
