Email Confirmation Requirement

Mailbox and distributor email spam rules have become far stricter since the African Leadership Institute first created it's subscribe list.  Subscribers who joined the list but did not confirm their email address are now being flagged. To meet these new rules to meet compliance, AFLI is cleaning its mailing list.  This may mean that your email address may be removed and should you wish to keep receiving mail from AFLI, that you will need to resubscribe below and confirm your email address. 2020 Fellow Rose Funja has been appointed to the EASTECO Governing Board. EASTECO is short for the East African Science and Technology Commission. Rose will serve in the Outreach and partnerships committee.  She was appointed in November 2023. The mission of EASTECO is to advance scientific excellence and technological innovation across the East African region. 

Rose is a serial entrepreneur and is the founder and Managing Director of Agrinfo Company and co-founder of the She Codes for Change social enterprise.

Rose has more than 13 years’ experience working directly with national, international communities focused on digital technologies in solving community challenges. Most recently, she has been active in the use of drones and big data in solving everyday problems, particularly in agricultural applications.

EASTECO's priorities for the next several years include implementation of the Single Customs Territory (SCT); enhancing implementation of regional commitments in line with the EAC Common Market Protocol; attainment of the EAC Single Currency; strengthening regional peace, security, and good governance; and development of quality multi-dimensional strategic infrastructure.
