2007 Tutu Fellow Gbenga Sesan has been featured in an Al Jazeera special that looks into the impact he is having on young people in slums in Nigeria, teaching them Information Technology skills.  With more than 50% of youth in Nigeria unemployed, having IT skills is a massive leg up in a digital world.

In the piece, Sesan recounts how as a boy at school, he was denied access to the computer because his teacher said he was not clever enough to use it.  He's gone from that to 25 international awards, being a successful social entrepreneur, a global consultant, and was appointed Nigeria's first IT Youth Ambassador in 2001. Along the way, he's changed the lives of his students as he's implemented his vision that poverty should not be allowed to deprive any Nigerian of the IT skills they need.

The piece called Gbenga Sesan: Connecting a Million can be viewed online at Al Jazeera.
