Tutu Fellow Jacqueline Muna Musiitwa will be serving on the board of Zambia's Central Bank.  The Bank of Zambia is tasked with among other things ensuring  appropriate monetary policy formulation and implementation, acting as the fiscal agent of the Government, and licensing, regulating and supervising banks and financial service institutions.

Musiitwa was confirmed by the cabinet of the Zambian government at the end of June 2015.  The term on the board is for three years and can be renewed by cabinet re-appointment.  She is the second Tutu Fellow to serve on the board;Monica Musonda served previously.
Jacqueline Muna Musiitwa is a lawyer with a track record in banking and finance.  She is in private practice at Hoja Law Group, which she founded and is a Managing Partner of.   The boutique law firm is based in New York and Kigali, Rwanda, advising on commercial matters for companies doing business in Africa as well as African governments. She has served as an advisor to the Director General of the World Trade Organization and the Rwandan government and acted as Legal Counsel and Assistant to the President and CEO of the PTA Bank, otherwise known as the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank.
Her appointment to the Zambian Central bank board makes her one of the few women in this role at an African central bank.
