Professional History


Simbarashe Mhungu is the Managing Director of HFG Advisory, a strategy and finance consulting firm serving global clients across industries and geographies. In Africa, Simba has advised clients, including Fortune 500 entities, on market entry into various African countries, including structuring some of Africa’s largest agribusiness transactions.

In the US, he’s worked for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando Florida, where he introduced prominent African beverages and shows to Disney’s theme parks and hotels. He has been featured on BBC World News commenting on African capital markets and Africa-China trade and debt dynamics. Simba has been a keynote speaker at the World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington DC and is the Co-Founder of the African Youth Commission, now one of the largest independent youth focused organizations in Africa. He began his career as an investment banker in the equities division of Goldman Sachs in New York.
