Professional History


Tony is the MD/CEO of the Norrenberger Financial Group. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of New Frontiers Developments; a venture capital investment firm focused on SMEs.His vast wealth of experience spans Investment and Portfolio Management, Strategy, Financial Risk Management, Modeling, Financial Reporting, and Operations Management. In his role as CIO of Newfrontiers Developments, he originated and executed a number of landmark investments and private equity deals which have gained international recognition. He has also worked on a number of green and brownfield transactions covering Oil & Gas, Power, Agriculture, Real Estate, Hospitality, Healthcare, Technology, Financial Services, and Impact Investing. Tony started his career with the audit firm of KPMG Professional Services (Formerly Arthur Andersen) where he spent nearly a decade. While at KPMG, he was accredited to provide advisory services to clients in Credit Risk and Economic Capital Modeling.

Tony is also a multi-talented mathematician, philosopher, thinker, and survivor. Growing up in Suburban Nigeria, he wondered what the basis was for the inequality which surrounded him. His young mind could not comprehend the myriad of cacophonic events which had eccentrically formed the basis upon which the immediate environment, in particular, and the African continent in general, is socially and economically stereotyped. Becoming an adult and having lived in Europe, Southeast Asia, and North America, Tony sees things quite differently and has a profound personal conviction regarding the concepts of equity, inequality, capitalism, and imperialism.

In his role as the Group Head of Enterprise Risk Management at ASO Savings and Loans Plc, the largest Mortgage Bank in Nigeria, Tony is primarily responsible for financial risk management across the entire banking platform. He is also an Alumnus of the Wharton Program on International Housing Finance. Tony was a certified coach of the Cartier Awards. His coachee (MN Enterprises) won the Cartier Awards for 2009.

Qualifications


Computer Science from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria
MBA from INSEAD as a recipient of the INSEAD-Goldman Sachs Scholarship Chartered Accountant (ACA)
