Job Title: Partner, Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change at ERM

Professional History


Nitesh was appointed as Partner, Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change (CS&CC) at Environmental Resources Management, or ERM in April 2021. ERM is a leading sustainability consultancy, and the global CS&CC practice provides innovative advisory services from Board engagement to operationalizing sustainability. Sustainability as it pertains to the environment has become a business-critical issue for many enterprises. Building on his sustainability experience and leveraging ERM’s business process transformation capability, deep subject matter expertise, and experienced teams, Nitesh plans to assist local and global clients to integrate environmental sustainability practices into the fabric of their organizations to drive continuous improvement and unlock business value for current and future generations.  His the team conducts assessments, goal-setting, embedding environmental sustainability goals into business strategy, and disclosing through reporting guidelines. ERM's CS&CC practice is one of the fastest-growing in a business with annual double-digit growth.

Nitesh's career includes having previously served in South African president Nelson Mandela’s government as a Director in the Department of Trade & Industry and as a Commercial Attaché to the South African Embassy in China. 

He has more than 20 years of experience in facilitating Fortune 200 companies with their global expansion projects in developed and emerging markets and in particular, guiding organisations in building resilient sustainability programmes in line with UN Environmental and Sustainability Goals.

His experience and global connections lies in a variety of sectors: financial, automotive, engineering & design, ICT, FMCG and mining. Companies that have engaged his global expansion expertise include BMW, Virgin, IBM, SAB Miller, and Anglo-American. In January 2021, he was appointed to serve as a Director on the the governing board of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP).
