Professional History: Isaac is Founder and CEO of Botho Emerging Markets Group and the founder of the Amahoro Coalition. Botho works in emerging markets, which comprise 85% of the world's population. It is a strategic advisory firm specializing in investments in emerging markets. 'Botho' is the Setswana word for respect, which Isaac says shapes his company's approach to business. The Amahoro Coalition is an initiative convening private sector firms in Africa to accelerate the economic inclusion of refugees.
Previously, he was the CEO of the African Leadership Network (ALN), a membership community of the most dynamic and influential new-generation leaders in Africa. He has over 15 years of experience in change and project management, supply-chain management, and business development. His areas of expertise include corporate due diligence and governance, process design and implementation, China/Africa relations, political and economic risk analysis, and Islamic finance.
He is also co-founder and board member of the SinoAfrica Center of Excellence Foundation, an initiative that promotes the exchange of knowledge and ideas between China and Africa. He earned his MBA from DePaul University, an MA from the University of Chicago, and a BA from Hanover College. Originally from Ghana, Fokuo now lives in Kenya.
