About AFLI
Founded in 2004, the African Leadership Institute is a not-for-profit organization committed to the development of a new generation of African leaders and to date has achieved this primarily through its flagship programme, The Archbishop Tutu Leadership Programme, which has been delivered in partnership with Oxford University since 2006. The programme is now in its 19th year, and has built a reputation as one of the best leadership programmes designed specifically for high-potential African leaders in the 30-40 age range. Our mission, is to create a family of world-class, values-based leaders committed to the socio-economic upliftment of Africa. In addition to this flagship programme, AFLI currently designs and delivers leadership programmes for the Gates Foundation and other organisations, and is developing other initiatives in partnership with our academic partner and potential funders. It also seeks to facilitate engagement by the influential network of Tutu Fellows in tackling the leadership challenges of the continent.
