Professional History
Caroline Mbabazi is a co-founder and managing partner at Dictum, an African integrated communications firm. The company supports global clients across the private, public and social sectors. A lawyer by training and a design enthusiast, she has worked as a brand, communications, and public affairs consultant for a number of African governments, companies, and organizations, leading teams that continue to manage and deliver some of the continent's most ambitious and successful brands. She has designed and published brand and communications handbooks and is currently a design and content lead supporting Africa’s pavilions at the UAE’s Expo 2020. Caroline is passionate about Africa and its prosperity and believes that how it manages its image is vital to the continent’s transformation. She is an advisor to a variety of start-up efforts with a communications and technology bent and serves on the boards of several groups where she takes an active interest in the confluence of design and technology, expanding democratic freedoms, and entrepreneurialism.
She is currently the representative of the Conference of Western Attorney’s general (CWAG) in Rwanda and Uganda, A board member of the Nile Project, and an advisor to the Leo Africa Institute.
