AFLI 2025 New Year NewsletterAs we move into 2025, the African Leadership Institute wishes all its Fellows, subscribers, and friends all the best for a year in which a confluence of complex economic, political, and environmental factors will make the call to action even more pressing for AFLI and the Tutu Fellowship than ever before. This newsletter celebrates the significant achievements and impact of Fellows in 2024. We also reflect on the many unsung heroes, those re-setting narratives, building communities, and catalysing growth across the continent. A special mention goes to those who stood firm when speaking truth to power. We stand with you and remember the words of the Arch: “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.” We thank our partners, sponsors and friends for their support in making 2024 a stellar year. In particular, the Mastercard, Gates, Skoll, Rockefeller and McNulty Foundations; Investec, Ninety One, JP Morgan, Equity Bank, Deloitte and, most importantly, the generous contributions of Fellows dedicated to paying back and paying it forward. We thank you and look forward to achieving more in 2025.
