Professional History: Dr Samson Kironde works with John Snow Inc., a leading Public Health Consulting Company. He has led several large USAID funded public health programs over the past decade and is currently the Chief of Party of the Strengthening TB and HIV&AIDS Responses in East Central Uganda (STAR-EC) program. Samson has more than 18 years' experience in setting up, managing and providing technical assistance to large public health programs in developing countries in the fields of communicable diseases, reproductive, maternal, adolescent and child health. He has worked with international non-governmental organizations, international health development agencies, foundations, governments and the private sector.

Samson also previously worked with McKinsey & Company, is a Rhodes Scholar, a Sir Halley Steward Trust Fellow, a global co-Chair of the Health Systems Action Network (HSAN), a member of the World Bank Civil Society Consultative Group on Health, Nutrition and Population as well as a serving member of the Global Fund Technical Review Panel. Samson is also a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow.
