Professional History: Sekai is currently the Senior Program Director/ Portfolio Lead for East and Southern Africa at Pathfinder International, based in Washington DC and since August 2019. Between 2016 and 2019, she was the Chief of Party for USAID/PEPFAR Quality Improvement for Comprehensive HIV Cascade and SIMs. Prior to that, she was with Africare for 12 years in various capacities as Director of New Business Development in Washington DC; Senior Country Director (Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda); Country Director, Zimbabwe, and Chief of Party/Program Director in Zimbabwe. She is an avid leader in international development with over 25 years of progressive senior management experience. She possesses strong leadership, managerial, and organizational skills and the ability to forge a respectful and productive partnership with stakeholders. She has extensive knowledge of US Government regulations governing grants and contracts management. She has gained professional country experience in the following African countries: Angola, Burkina Faso, Chad, DRC, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, USA, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
