2019 Fellows, Sangu Delle,  Marcia Ashong and Julie Gichuru are listed in New African Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Africans of 2019.

The Fellows share the accolade with notables such as the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize winner Abiy Ahmed - Ethiopia's Prime Minister - and Alaa Salah, the 22 year-old Sudanese protester and architectural student popularly referred to as ‘Lady Liberty’, who became the face of the people’s revolution in Sudan.

Two sporting heroes, Siya Kolisi, the first black captain of South Africa’s national rugby team that won the Rugby World Championship in November 2019; and Kenyan distance runner and world record breaker, Eliud Kipchoge, the marathon runner also made the list.

Sangu Delle is the Managing Director of Africa Health Holdings, an innovative company based in West Africa that is focused on building Africa's healthcare future. His 2019 book, Making Futures: Young Entrepreneurs in a Dynamic Africa, tells the story of a dynamic Africa through the eyes of some of its youngest and most promising entrepreneurs.

Marcia Ashong is Founder and Executive Director of The Boardroom Africa (TBR Africa), and Brace Energy. TBRAfrica is an initiative that champions women in executive leadership across Africa by working with venture capital and private equity investors, development finance institutions, companies and organisations to improve female representation in boardrooms and investment committees.

Julie Gichuru is the head of Public Affairs and Communications at the Mastercard Foundation.  Prior to her appointment, she had had a lengthy career as a journalist and news anchor in Kenya. She has hosted the Africa Leadership Dialogues, a syndicated current affairs program with a focus on African development and growth. And she has been a TV host with East African broadcaster, Citizen TV. She also had a weekly prime time news and current affairs program, Sunday Live with Julie Gichuru.
