Two Tutu Fellows have been named to this year’s 100 Most Reputable Africans by Reputation Poll International. The two are 2008 Fellow, Elsie Kanza, and 2010 Fellow and AFLI CEO, Jackie Chimhanzi.  The annual Poll lists 100 Africans who are celebrated for their good governance, leadership, and a range of other criteria.

The two Fellows are joined by a range of luminaries that include two African presidents and a number of policymakers. The selection criteria are integrity, visibility and impact.

Elsie Kanza is the Head of Africa at the World Economic Forum, and a member of the World Economic Forum Executive Committee. Since August 2011, she has overseen the annual WEF Forum on Africa summits, as well as a portfolio of multi-stakeholder initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa seeking to accelerate progress on the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and African Union’s Agenda 2063.

AFLI’s Jackie Chimhanzi, the CEO of the African Leadership Institute, is a seasoned strategist with some 20 years’ experience as both an academic and a practitioner. Previously, she was the Senior Strategist for the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC), where she played a key role in a major strategic review exercise that sought to enhance the Corporation’s impact by redefining how and where it invests.

The list features 47 women and 53 men from sectors it defines as Leadership, Entertainment, Advocacy, Education, and Business. The selection was made based on the integrity, visibility and impact. On Governance the list features 2 African Presidents, one Vice President and policymakers. Reputation Poll International is a global reputation-management company that annually releases the ranking of the 100 Most Reputable People on Earth and Most Reputable CEOs in various countries.
