2015 Tutu Fellow Landry Signé has been appointed to head a new programme at Arizona State University's Thunderbird School of Global Management, that has been called the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and Globalization 4.0 Initiative. He is the new professor and Founding Co-Director of the inititiative.

The Director General and Dean of Thunderbird, Sanjeev Khagram, says that the school is excited that Landry is joining them. He said Landry 'is a terrific scholar, respected worldwide for his grasp of the political economy of growth, sustainable development, governance, fragile and failed states, regional integration, and business in Africa.

Sanjeev said that Landry brought an understanding of the global implications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. “We need to make sure that global leaders are in place, leaders who can make the most of the technological changes endemic in Industry 4.0. We need bold global business leaders who understand the possibilities and who are able to drive the transformation required. And we need complex thinkers and global leaders like Landry Signé to help us develop them.”

Thunderbird said that Landry had received the fastest reported tenure and promotion to the highest rank of full professor in the history of US universities for a scholar who started at an entry-level position in his discipline. Landry has won more than sixty awards and distinctions from four continents for his academic, policy, business, and leadership accomplishments.
