Project Pakati board member Roseline Zahui says 'everything is possible'

Roseline-Zahui

Project Pakati board member Roseline Zahui from Cote d’Ivoire addressed a high-level engagement at the 4th edition of TEDxGrandBassam. Roseline Zuhai lives in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, with an incurable disease but lives a full life. Today, she works, travels, and enjoys her life as a young woman and activist. Her TED talk was as inspiring as her life.

TEDx is a nonprofit devoted to the spread of ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. It began in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.

Independently-run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world, and TEDx Grand Bassam was one of them. The title of Roseline’s TED talk was Everything is Possible. Her core message was on reframing how we think of illness and she demonstrated through her own story how an ‘’always sick girl child’’ become a strong and influential leader and activist who positively impacts the lives of those living with Crohn's Disease and Colitis.

Receiving an invitation to a TED talk was an honour for Roseline, who is the founder of AMICI, an organization that helps people living with Crohn Disease and Colitis in Cote d’Ivoire. Her organization raises awareness about these less-well- known chronic diseases to enable people who have them are better able to management them in their day to day lives. Roseline is a living example of strength, courage and resilience. She is proud of her advocacy work and has changed more 10,000 lives around the world.
