IRC Appoints Jacqueline Musiitwa as Board Member


2011 Fellow and Chief Advisor at Rio Tinto, Jaqueline Musiitwa, has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The IRC responds to the world's most severe humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and regain control of their future.

This appointment comes after Jacqueline was also appointed to the United Nations Committee for Development Policy. The Committee for Development Policy is a subsidiary of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and advises the Council on a wide range of issues that are relevant for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She also helped start a network of female legal and business professionals called LABFA.
