AFLI Board Member responsible for Bank's Africa interests

2007 Tutu Fellow and AFLI board member, Terence Sibiya, has been appointed Nedbank’s Managing Executive for the Rest of Africa & Subsidiaries. He is responsible for leading and managing the Bank’s Rest of Africa and subsidiary businesses to ensure that they grow and achieve the key strategic objectives of the company.  These include building scale, increasing their share of contribution to the Group’s earnings, and generating returns in excess of the cost of equity.  Prior to this, Terence was the Managing Executive for Client Coverage Nedbank Corporate & Investment Banking and was with Standard Bank, before that.

A few years back Terence also served as the US-based Aurora Associates International Inc.’s Executive Project Manager for the multi-million dollar USAID-funded Networking and Connectivity Project. This project greatly impacted the South African government's ability to deliver obligatory services through IT in four provinces across the country & neighbouring Swaziland and Namibia.

Terence is an AFLI Board Member.
