Professional History


Eric Kacou is co-founder and CEO of Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners (ESP), an advisory and investment group in Africa. ESPartners provides Intelligent Capital the right mix of insights and financing to entrepreneurs and leaders across Africa. Prior to starting ESP, Eric led the Rwanda National Innovation and Competitiveness (RNIC) Program, a Presidential initiative credited with helping revitalize Rwanda’s economy.

As Managing Director of OTF Group, a competitiveness firm, Eric also served leaders of business, government, and development partners in over twenty nations across Africa and the Caribbean. Eric started his career as a strategy consultant with Monitor Company advising Fortune 500 executives in various industries including pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing, telecom, and home health care. Eric earned his MBA at the Wharton School and his MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School as a Mason Fellow. Eric has authored Entrepreneurial Solutions for Prosperity (2011) and Fly Africa (2018).

Eric was honored by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, the African Leadership Institute as a Tutu Fellow as well as Forbes Afrique as one of Africa’s 20 builders of tomorrow.
