Job Title: Growth Director at ESP

Professional History


Theodros (Teddy) Roux is Growth Director at ESP.  He is an expert in private sector development and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) financing in fragile states.  He has advised private equity funds and enterprises on issues ranging from strategic audits to regional growth strategies. He has also advised governments and multilaterals on issues related private sector and entrepreneurship development in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Teddy led the design and launch of 10 'Intelligent Capital' facilities that support more than 600 Micro and SMEs a year across Africa, with both technical assistance and financing. ESP defines 'intelligent capital' as the right combination of insights and investments to enable the growth of high-impact entrepreneurs across Sub-Saharan Africa. He has co-authored several publications on private sector development in sub-Saharan Africa and is a co-founder of the EntrAfrica ESPartners Foundation, which is dedicated to entrepreneurship.

Prior to ESP, Teddy spent eight years working in Corporate Finance.
