Job Title: Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Sub-Saharan Africa, J.P. Morgan

Professional History


Njabulo Ngubane is an Executive Director in J.P. Morgan’s Sub Saharan Africa Investment Banking team with his primary focus on strategic Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions in the region. He joined J.P. Morgan in February 2019 as a Vice President in the Investment Banking team and previously worked at Deutsche Bank South Africa within the Corporate Finance and M&A team. Over his 14 year international banking career, Njabulo has worked on a number of landmark transactions in equity and equity-linked capital markets in addition to M&A transactions. His transaction experience also encompasses a number of sectors and countries and he views cross-border transactions an area where international banks can add the most value to clients through know-how and international networks.

Njabulo is also a J.P. Morgan representative on the Investment Committee of the Abadali Fund. This is a ZAR300 mn development established in partnership with the Department of Trade & Competition (dtic) which focuses on majority-owned and managed Small and Medium Enterprises in South Africa that are not able to access financing from traditional financial institutions.
