Professional History
Doussouba Konate is the Country Director of Accountability Lab, Mali and has ten years of experience in international development. She oversaw program implementation at Accountability Lab Global in Mali, Niger, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Guinea-Bissau. She works closely with teams to improve the implementation of programs that focus on governance in these network labs. The Accountability Lab is a global trans-local network that supports governance that works for the people. It accomplishes this by encouraging active citizens, responsible leaders, and accountable institutions. Its vision is a world in which resources are used wisely, decisions benefit everyone equally, and people live secure lives.
Because she believes education is power, she sits on the board of several organizations, including Caravan to Class that offer access to education for women and youth. She also manages a program that has provided scholarships to 19 young women to pursue their university education.
Doussouba is an Obama Leaders Africa and a Fellow for Feedback Labs. She has been recognized as a Social Change Intrapreneur by the Future of Good organization in Canada as one of the Top 21 Young Impact Leaders.
