Professional History

Lalaina Albertine Randriarimanana is the co-founder and the current General Coordinator of Liberty 32, a Malagasy volunteer-based organization that works towards citizen empowerment.  Passionate about education, she has been an educator since her early teenage, with over twenty years of involvement in the field. Her background is in scouting, in which she developed her interest in peace, youth engagement, and her experience in knowledge production and capacity development. She is engaged in different formal and non-formal initiatives at the local, national, and international levels as an activist with experience in management and development, monitoring and evaluation, institutional development, and mentoring.

Lalaina attended public schools in Madagascar before heading on to an academic career and post-graduate studies in leadership impacting Africa.  Her professional, academic and voluntary interests are people empowerment, education, youth, human security, leadership, development, and peacebuilding. She considers herself to be an African citizen traveling on a Malagasy passport and is a fervent lover of the Malagasy language.
