Job Title: Acting Director Regional Integration Coordination Office of the African Development Bank Group

Professional History


Jean-Guy is the Acting Director Regional Integration Coordination Office of the Africa Development Bank Group. Prior to this he was the Chief Regional Funds Coordinator at the African Development Bank where he is responsible for the management of the regional operations envelope; a $1.7 billion set-aside of the African Development Fund for regional operations in low-income countries. Prior to this, Jean-Guy spearheaded the establishment of the Africa Trade Fund and the launch of some of Africa's flagship analytical products such as the Africa Regional Integration Index and the Africa Visa Openness Index.

Before joining the Bank, he held senior roles at the East African Community (EAC) and Rwanda Investment & Export Promotion Agency (RIEPA). At the EAC, Jean-Guy played a significant role in the successful negotiations of the EAC Common Market Protocol. In RIEPA, he implemented a series of initiatives and programs that enhanced the business environment and accelerated export growth.
