Professional History


Ronald is the Founder and CEO at iGov Africa. iGov Africa is an innovation house that works with governments, private sector, social enterprises, development agencies and innovators to leverage technology for Public Social Good through developing, managing and supporting an ecosystem of problem solvers, enablers, conveners and promoters.

Having served as the Head of Public Sector at Oracle Corporation, Kenya, and a Senior Manager for Government Relations and Public Sector Sales at Safaricom Limited, he had the opportunity to set up high-performance teams that shaped policy decisions both at the national and county government levels while maintaining a private-sector approach to socio-economic solutions.

As an entrepreneur, he is invested in Public Sector Innovation, ICT infrastructure development, FinTech, and Public Policy consultancy.

As Chairman of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund, a USD 50M enterprise Fund, he impacted over 7,500 SMEs in 3 years through financing and technical assistance. He also initiated a reengineering programme to make the Fund more efficient through people optimization, digitization, developing best of breed products, policy realignment, and partnerships. This has seen the Fund's value grow by 40%, finances disbursed by 57%, and technical assistance by 107%.

Ronald is a Tutu Fellow, Aspen Institute graduate, and a Crans Montana Leader of Tomorrow. He has a passion for service and people, as evidenced in his roles as Founder of Onward Kenya, a Trustee of Uzima University and Vice Chairman of the Uzima University Foundation, former President of Junior Chamber International (Kenya) amongst others.

In pursuit of justice and prosperity for all, I vied in 2013 as Deputy President in Kenya alongside Peter Kenneth.
