Job Title: Head Of Human Resources- Southeast Africa at Baye

Professional History


Merab is a Head Of Human Resources - Southeast Africa at Baye. Prior to that, she was a Human Resources practitioner currently working in the pharmaceutical industry with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as HR Director, overseeing its business operations in East Africa and South Africa. She has over 15 years’ experience in the profession. Prior to joining GSK, Merab worked with Safaricom Limited as a Senior Manager, at KPMG as a Consultant serving clients of the organization across the East Africa region, and has also served as an Assistant Human Resource Manager at Mater Hospital.

Merab has a Bachelors Degree in Banking and Finance from Kenyatta University. She is a graduate of the Senior Management Leadership Program at Strathmore Business School; a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management in Kenya; and she is a 2015 Archbishop Tutu Leadership Fellow.

Merab is married with two children, she is a sister to many and an aunt to even more nieces and nephews of all ages. She loves rugby, traveling the world, and improving on her already impressive culinary skills.
