Professional History


Tatenda is an accomplished finance professional with extensive Global Markets and Investment Banking experience. With almost two decades of Capital Markets and Investment Banking experience, Tatenda has been privileged to have worked in highly quantitative and analytical roles for some of the best and most selective global platforms ranging from Deutsche Bank to Bloomberg LP, Deloitte, and Citi Bank. Tatenda brings a depth of technical experience in structuring complex bespoke client solutions and executing strategy. As part of Deutsche Bank’s Global Equity Derivatives and Structured Products business, Tatenda traded and managed risk on exotic and vanilla options along with a wide range of delta one products and index arbitrage. Tatenda has also worked as a Senior Transactor in Structured Finance where he was responsible for the origination and execution of structured lending transactions. While part of Bloomberg LP's EMEA Sales team, Tatenda was a Country Manager for 4 countries working with cross-functional teams to drive business development and deliver unparalleled client service. Prior to joining BMO, Tatenda was part of Citi Bank’s Capital Markets Origination team.

In his current role as a Director, Global Markets at Bank of Montreal, Tatenda works with the executive leaders to develop and scale the European and Asian Exotic Structured products platform. Among many key projects, he has worked on the restructuring of the Cross Business Risk division with over 100 people and helped implements its integration into Global Markets. Tatenda was instrumental in the design and implementation of the target operating model that led to the formation of the Global Markets Engineering Division which includes among others the Data Cognition responsible for Artificial Intelligence development, Quantitative Trading Analytics and manages the Technology Strategy for Global Markets. Tatenda spent his first year at BMO in I&CB where he worked as the Business Manager for the Executive Heads of M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets. He worked closely with the Head of M&A to lead and deliver the most impactful change to workflow and CRM for the whole of the I&CB business.

Tatenda holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is completing a second master’s degree, an M.Sc. in Business Analytics degree (Statistics and Data Science) with The New York Stern School of Business.
