Professional History
Dr Zied Mhirsi has worked in the Middle East and Africa with several NGOs and civil organizations, mostly focusing on strengthening health systems to combat HIV/AIDS and other serious diseases.
Zied is an influential radio show host at the Tunisian radio station, Express FM. He hosts a daily health show and a weekly one that brought the voices of the Tunisian blogosphere to the airwaves under the dictatorship. Since the revolution, he has worked extensively with international media, analyzing the post-revolution political situation, appearing on shows and helping them to produce news stories and documentaries. In March 2011, Zied co-founded Tunisia Live, the first Tunisian English-language news website, which is read by more than 100,000 visitors every month.
