Professional History

Mezuo has more than two decades of experience in a broad spectrum of finance-related roles (private equity, investment banking, corporate finance). He has worked extensively within the agribusiness sector in West Africa and across a broad range of crop value chains. Mezuo started his career with the corporate finance team of the Sabre Group in Dallas, and then worked in J.P. Morgan & Co. 

Mezuo's company successfully won the Nigerian government Request For Bids for management of an agribusiness fund - FAFIN - with a total capitalization of more than $65 million USD.  Investors in FAFIN include the African Development Bank, the DFID Impact Fund, the Dutch Good Growth Fund, the Federal Government of Nigeria, KfW Development Bank, and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority.  The companies FAFIN has invested in under Mezuo's management have so far created hundreds of jobs, benefited thousands of others indirectly, and aggregate tens of thousands of tons of crops from Nigerian farmers that include rice, cassava, milk, fowl and shea nuts.
