Job Title: Business Development Consultant

Professional History


Aderonke is a serial entrepreneur and a multi-sectoral professional with about 30 years of experience in largely the private sector but a bit of not-for-profit and the public sector too. Her wealth of experience revolves around food and beverage manufacturing, agriculture and agribusiness, oil and gas trading, marketing and operations, and consulting for large corporate organizations and government.
She is the Principal Consultant of DRNL Consult ltd UK and Owner-Manager of Delt-R Company limited. She is considered as one of the go-to people in the oil and gas sector, her experience is built from the inception of oil and gas in Nigeria.

For 11 years she acted as a country director and in-country representative for BNP Paribas, managed BNP Paribas formal entry into Nigeria covering corporate and investment banking, asset management, and private banking. She also acted as a consultant to Natixis, a French financial institution in the Nigeria oil and gas sector.

Over the past 5 years, Ronke acts as a consultant to FOSTER (Facility for Oil Sector Transparency and Accountability), an initiative of the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID).

For over 25 years Ronke has been mentoring towards entrepreneurship, personal development, and youth empowerment. She is the author of ‘To My Younger Self Book’ a collection of authentic and inspiring stories of Nigeria’s business and career professionals aimed at impacting young people and people transitioning careers. The book is a quota to contribute to the lack of access to mentoring being faced by Nigerian youths.

Ronke acted as a supervising commissioner for Agriculture and presently acts as a Senior Consultant to His Excellency Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Governor of Ogun State Energy (Power). She is the lead consultant for Ogun State 5MW Independent power plant project with a power purchase and BOT (Build, Operate and Transfer) arrangement.

A go-to spokesperson on youth and women empowerment, oil and gas matters in Nigeria, power, and fundraising for NGOs. She is a regular commentator and guest on oil and gas discussions on radio, social media, and television.

She sits on the board of several publicly quoted and not quoted companies. She is currently a member of Ogun State Government Executive Council, WIMBIZ Executive council, and Vivian Fowler Memorial College.

Crude oil and Petroleum Products Trading and Marketing at the Petroleum and Energy studies college in Oxford
MBA in Entrepreneurship at the Durham Business School in 2003 as a Chevening Scholar
Chief Executives program at the Lagos Business School (Pan Atlantic University) in Nigeria
