Professional History


Dr. Succès Masra, who considers himself as a “Development & Tolerance Soldier”, is sincerely passionate about Chad and Africa’s development. He launched the leadership and entrepreneurship platform, Generation ABCD, the day Nelson Mandela passed away, with the objective of promoting Mandela's legacy among the younger generation of Chadian and African future decision makers. He is a serial entrepreneur and writer, trained in political sciences, finance and governance at Sciences Po Paris. Succès' PhD in Economics at Paris School of Economics was on “Africa facing the Challenges of the Post-Oil Economy: the role of Development Financial Institutions in Promoting Renewable Energy”.  Succès was the Financial Economist of the Moroccan Ouarzazate Solar Project, which is currently the biggest CSP solar project in the world, and is involved in the team in charge of the development of the Pan-African Inga Mega Hydroelectric Project.

Succès' current appointment to the Presidential Task Force is to help deliver on the top priority of universal access to electricity in Africa by 2025, with a focus on the development of renewable energies, and the implementation of the African Renewable Energy Initiative (AREI).  Succès has been a Visiting Lecturer at Sciences Po Paris; a contributor to major reports like the 2013-2015 African Competitiveness Report; and, the French Presidential Report on Innovative Climate Financing Mechanisms for Paris COP21. He is the lead author of The Rainbow Heirs of Madiba, a compilation by 27 young leaders published in 2016 to promote Nelson Mandela's legacy and seeking a peaceful and tolerant World.

Masra is a former Senior Advisor to the President of the African Business Club; cofounded the African Week of Sciences Po Paris; a mentor of many Chadian Mandela Washington Fellows; and a mentor of Young Blind Chadians of the Center for Young Blind People. He is a recipient of the Best Leadership Initiative of the Paris 2016 Global Leadership Programme, Winner of the Eloquence Contest of University (Yaounde, Cameroon), Former UNICEF Peace Ambassador for Secondary Schools (CCL, Sarh, Chad) and Former Editor in Chief of the University Newspaper ( UCAC, Cameroon).
