Projects

Through my association with the AfLI, I envision the establishment of a leadership institution intended to provide leadership training, mentoring opportunities and coaching to young Liberians. In fact, this program was developed as a result of the community project requirement of the Tutu Fellowship program. I have already begun on a smaller scale than originally envisioned because of a myriad of constraints. The mission of the project, the Mama Liberia Initiative (MLI), is to be the premier intellectual center for the promotion of responsible, innovative leadership. The Program aims to nurture collaborative leadership and socially responsible young people through transformative programs. MLI aims to achieve its vision by building leaders who teach others. Emphasis will be placed on mentoring and activities related to leadership, development, decision-making, citizenship, and community service. MLI
